Independent public-information project

#MCJmugs and Marshall’s Mugshot Mania are independent community-information projects. Neither is affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, any police department, jail, court, or other government agency.

Public records and accuracy

Information and booking photographs shown here or posted in the related Facebook groups are obtained from publicly available records and official agency sources. Records may be incomplete, delayed, corrected, updated, dismissed, expunged, or otherwise changed after publication.

Presumption of innocence

An arrest is not a conviction. Charges are allegations only. Every person shown or discussed is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Prohibited content and conduct

This website and its related groups do not knowingly authorize or protect inaccurate, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or privacy-violating content. Do not post unverified accusations, threats, private personal information, victim information, or content intended to shame, intimidate, or encourage harassment. A public booking record does not give anyone permission to contact, threaten, ridicule, or interfere with the person shown or their family.

Posts, comments, and Facebook rules

Members are responsible for their own posts and comments. Member statements do not necessarily represent the views of #MCJmugs, Marshall’s Mugshot Mania, or their administrators. Administrators may remove content, restrict commenting, or remove members when necessary, but cannot guarantee that every post or comment is accurate or immediately reviewed. Facebook’s Community Standards apply to every post and comment. Nothing in this disclaimer overrides Facebook’s rules or applicable law.

Informational use only

This information is provided for general public awareness only. It is not legal advice, an official criminal-history report, or a consumer report and must not be used for employment, housing, credit, insurance, licensing, or other eligibility decisions.

Corrections and concerns

To report inaccurate, outdated, threatening, defamatory, or privacy-violating content, use the contact form above and include the post link or booking reference with any supporting official documentation. Valid corrections, release updates, dismissals, and acquittals will be reviewed promptly.

#MCJmugs Publication, Correction, and Grievance Policy

#MCJmugs publishes public-interest booking and release information using government records, official releases, court records, and other sources reasonably believed to be reliable. We work to match each photograph and record to the correct person, reproduce source information accurately, avoid presenting allegations as facts, and correct material errors after verification.

We generally do not publish Social Security numbers, financial or authentication information, full dates of birth, home addresses, private contact details, protected victim or minor information, unrelated private medical information, or records known to be sealed or expunged.

Corrections, updates, restrictions, and removals

Anyone may report a factual error. When a material error is verified, #MCJmugs may correct the record, add an outcome or clarification, replace or restrict an image, or remove the post. Removal and restriction requests are reviewed individually with attention to accuracy, public interest, safety, fairness, legal obligations, and the complete available record.

Factors favoring removal or restriction include publication of the wrong person or photograph; a sealed or expunged record; dismissal, no-bill, acquittal, or resolution without conviction; a minor or protected person; a specific credible safety risk; protected personal information; unlawfully obtained information; or a later verified event that makes continued publication materially misleading.

No fee and review timeline

#MCJmugs does not charge to submit, review, correct, restrict, or remove a post. We aim to acknowledge a complete grievance within three business days and issue a decision or status update within ten business days. Complex reviews may take up to 30 calendar days. Credible identity, minor, privacy, or immediate-safety concerns are prioritized.

Decisions, reconsideration, and privacy

Requesters should receive a brief written decision unless law or safety prevents disclosure. One reconsideration may be requested within 30 days when new evidence is available or a material fact was overlooked. Grievance information is limited to review, response, legal compliance, safety, and reasonable recordkeeping. Sensitive identity material should not be submitted unless specifically requested and should be redacted where possible.

Non-retaliation and policy notice

#MCJmugs will not retaliate against a person for making a good-faith grievance. Review decisions should not be influenced by payment, personal relationships, political pressure, or improper influence. This operational policy is not legal advice and may be revised as law, technology, and editorial practices change.
